LA FAMILY RESORT, YENAGOA
Listening to Wonderland by Efe Oraka
Since I got back from school I’ve been spending most of my time indoors and helping my mom at work. So last Sunday I decided to go out and chill with my sweet friend Mabel. We went to La Family Resort.La Family Resort is located at okaka, yenagoa, Bayelsa state. It is just along the Isaac Boro expressway so it’s very easy to locate. They have a Chinese restaurant, Gym, Amusement Park and a really nice sitting area outside. I really love the swing with a little table. So you can eat, drink or just gist while swinging.
We went to the Chinese restaurant first and got sitted. Five minutes later, no one attended to us so we decided to walk to the counter where we saw the menu for only drinks. They had just regular bottle and can drinks. I had to ask if they make any kind of cocktail or mocktail.
The lady attending to us said they make Chapman so we ordered for two glasses at 500 naira each. We got our drinks and honestly it was really sweet. It kinda made me forget about all the other things that weren’t quite right.
I wasn’t really feeling the decor of the restaurant. There was just too much going on, too many chinese lanterns, the chairs were too big and allowed for very little space to move around, the wooden structure used to demarcate the tables were too many and the table cloth was just a no no. Not like they were ugly but I just feel white or plain table cloth would work better.
We really wanted to have a feel of the entire place so we went outside to sit and take pictures of course.
We stayed there for a while watching kids enjoying the different rides in the Amusement park and enjoying good music. Overall I think it’s a really nice place to hang out with friends and family. They just need to improve their services. I had fun and I’d definitely go back to try their meals and maybe visit the gym (cause I really need it right now).
So if you’re in Yenagoa or you’re planning to visit soon, you should check out La Family Resort. If you’ve been there before, how was your experience? Just leave a comment below

The place seems a lot. Like a really “busy” place.

Well it’s actually not that busy except for special days

Ermmm, is there a place to lodge and how much does it cost?! I am actually looking to travel to somewhere different, somewhere different that people don’t talk about much on social media and this place looks absolutely divine!!! And I love the lanterns actually

There’s no place to lodge but there are nice hotels close to it. Not sure of the price, should be from 10k. The lanterns are lovely but I pray you’ll still love them by the time you see how many they are. Thanks for reading ❤

I totally agree, there’s a bit of an overkill on the “Chinese decor” It’s nice to know there’s a “fun” place like this in yenegoa.
Thanks for sharing….xx
