355 RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE IKEJA
I’ve been to 355 restaurant and lounge in Abuja a number of times and I had good experiences so I was quite excited to see what the one in Ikeja looks like. My brother and I stopped by on my way to the airport for a quick lunch since it is literally 6 minutes away from the airport.
LOCATION
Jara Shopping Mall, 22 Simbiat Abiola Way, Ikeja, Lagos. Google map directions are quite accurate.
AMBIENCE
Unlike the one in Abuja, 355 Ikeja has a more casual dining setting – low tables and really chunky lounge chairs. As much as I loved how comfy the big chairs were, they didn’t really work with the low tables for eating. It was not totally bad but I didn’t fancy the idea of leaning down to eat as I said, it wasn’t so bad, just works better for drinks. They also have an outdoor area overlooking the car park with nice graffiti on the walls.
FOOD
What we ordered:
- Roulade de Poulet Au Herbe de Provence – ₦7600
- Chicken Tacos – ₦5600
Drinks
- Paloma – ₦2500
- Banana and Strawberry Delight – ₦2500
- Water – ₦1000 each
I had the Chicken Roulade and it was very satisfying. At a glance, it didn’t look like a lot but the veggies nicely wrapped in the chicken made it more filling and when paired with some rice, it was a whole meal! My brother had the chicken tacos and while he was happy with the taste, he was quite disappointed with the presentation because it was totally different from what he had shown the waiter on their Instagram page. The Banana and Strawberry Delight was a pretty decent milkshake while the Paloma mocktail was so sweet and refreshing. It had a very strong bubble gum flavour that I loved.
SERVICE
We got there pretty early so the staff were still trying to set up for the day but they were quite responsive in taking our orders and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. The waiter was also very friendly and patient in confirming our orders.
Overall I’d give them a 3.5-star rating and I might visit whenever I’m in Lagos again.
