GOODIE LATELY 2

Currently listening to Amen – Yovi
Have you ever felt like you’re wasting your time or like you’re not putting in enough work?
Well that’s how I felt some months ago. I felt like I should be doing more and I should have everything figured out by now. But guess what? I realized there’s no need beating myself up about not having it all figured out and that it’s okay to not be good sometimes. I decided to count my blessings and ignore my losses, to trust in the process believing that I’ll blossom in my own time.

Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance – Samuel Johnson

I haven’t been keeping up with my initial plan of putting up at least one post a week. A lot has happened these past months and I just thought to share some with you.

Graduating
I finished my first degree program a month ago but the feeling is still brand new. There were many times I thought I wouldn’t finish or i’ll just finish poorly. If you know me well enough then you know I hate school, like I’m always very excited when there’s a public holiday or any other reason for me not to be in school.

The class rep. responsibility that was placed on me didn’t give me room to be absent from school (guess it was a blessing in disguise). Well I didn’t only finish but I finished well. On that note allow me to reintroduce myself:
My name is Goodness Preye and I’m an Accountant 😊

TBA Bloggers Support Group
Few months ago I joined a whatsapp group created by Alice of Colours And Grey and The Bloggers Advocate. At first I was a bit irritated by the constant notifications from the group because I couldn’t keep up with the conversations since some people already knew themselves outside the group. If you’re thinking I left, you’re wrong!  I just muted the group notifications and decided to go through the chats whenever I like.

Fast forward to few weeks later, the group chat is one of the first things I check every morning. Wondering how I got here?  Well first of all, Alice is a wonderful mentor and her passion for bloggers’ growth is inexplicable. I’ve learnt a lot from her and other members of the group. The other day we had a class on SEO by Grace of epiphany29.com then the money talk session by Salmah of dearsalmah.com. There are many other facilitators (i can’t mention everyone sorry)  and I really like the fact that we have pretty regular conversations and try to assist each other. This group is like my new home and I feel like I have a lot of big sisters and brothers. If you’re a blogger you can join the group chat through the link below:

Creating a Brand
So I mentioned in this post that I attended a wig workshop sometime last year and since then I’ve just been trying to practice by making wigs for myself and some of my friends. I’ve been getting really nice feedbacks and I was uber excited when I got my first order. I’ve decided to start up my own brand of custom wigs. It’s still in the works and i’ll definitely announce it when everything is done. For now you can check out my business page on Instagram – @shop.goodie

Reading More
I’m a very lazy reader but I’ve decided to read more. Currently reading ‘No one To Trust’  by Lynette Eason and I plan to finish it before the end of this month (hopefully, lol).

One Year Nappiversary
Just in case you missed it I’ve been natural for one year and you can read all about it here.
What have you been up to lately? Please share in the comment section below
