355 STEAKHOUSE AND LOUNGE ABUJA

I recently visited 355 Steakhouse and Lounge Abuja courtesy of the Lost in a City team. In partnership with MasterCard, they are offering MasterCard holders in Lagos and Abuja the opportunity to enjoy three-course meals for highly discounted prices.

MasterCard restaurant week started on 09 November and will be running till 30 November. You definitely do not want to miss out on this fine dining experience.

LOCATION

38 Osun crescent, Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria

AMBIENCE

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how dark, though cosy the inside looked. I really struggled with getting good pictures because It was so dark.

If I had gone with a date, maybe Bae, I would’ve been totally fine with the ambience. But there I was all alone, ready to create content and steady getting frustrated by the outcome. So if you’re looking for a lovely and cosy location for a dinner date, 355 Steakhouse and Lounge Abuja is perfect but if you’re like me and you would like to take pictures, I’d suggest you go during lunch hours.

FOOD

So all participating restaurants for the MasterCard restaurant week have curated special lunch and dinner menus which offers three courses at a set price. At 355, they had interesting meals to choose from in each section.

I went there for dinner so I had to choose from the dinner menu which had different options for appetiser, main course and dessert.

What I ordered:

  • Appetizer – Tuna salad
  • Main course – Fish provincial
  • Dessert – Nutella crépe

The tuna salad was served on a bed of lettuce, with tomato, black olives, tuna flakes, olive oil dressing and lime juice. This was my first time trying it so it was a bit of an acquired taste. I wanted to stop after the first few bites but somehow I finished the bowl. I really enjoyed the Fish Provincial. The fish was well marinated and perfectly fried. The base had fresh tomato sauce, onions, green and red pepper, and carrots. The tomato base was very tasty! I had to ask the waiter if it was just regular fresh tomatoes. It came with the steam rice on the side tasted good too. I’m sure you can tell I really enjoyed the main course.

For dessert, I didn’t have much of a choice as the Nutella crepe was the only thing available. A combination of vanilla crepes filled Nutella, banana and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. I was so full by the time this was served, I felt so bad that I couldn’t finish it and I didn’t want the leftover packed because it was too little – talk about a dilemma!

SERVICE

The waiter that attended to me was very friendly and same as the supervisor who was constantly checking to see if my dinner was going great. The waiting time for my food was also very impressive, I got all three courses in about two hours. That is very fast considering I spend over an hour waiting for just one meal in some restaurants. Overall I’d say my experience was 7/10.

The total cost for this dinner was ₦11,000 excluding VAT and service charges. Honestly, I think this is a really good deal because it was a lot of food and you can get the same offer at any of the other participating restaurants in Lagos and Abuja.

What do you think of the MasterCard restaurant week? will you be visiting any of the participating restaurants?

355!!!!!! Love this place and your review did justice. “I wanted to stop after my first few spoons but somehow I finished the whole plate” 😂😂. Girl we know how!!🌝

Good job girl. I love how cosy and sensual 355 is. Been here before but didn’t try these options on the menu. I’ll definitely give your options a try next time I visit.

MasterCard I deserve vouchers too 😭😭
