7 BEST ROMANTIC DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD

Valentine’s celebrations may be over but love is forever. And like I said in this post, I love love. As a result, it excites me to see people make real connections and grow together. Today we get to explore seven best romantic destinations in the world.

I asked my instagram fam to share their top romantic destinations and I got a lot of interesting answers. I did further research and found the best ways to book cheap flights to these destinations.

These incredible romantic destinations are perfect for a Honeymoon, Anniversary, Post-Valentine’s break, Birthday or just to spend some time with the love of your life.

The Maldives

The Maldives is one of the most popular destinations for newlyweds. It’s located off India’s Southwest coast. From white sandy beaches to bright blue sea waters, there’s so much to love about this place. The Maldives is my dream honeymoon or baecation destination.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the most beautiful and romantic Greek islands. Therefore, it is considered a honeymooner’s paradise and is easily recognisable because of its whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, multi-coloured cliffs and paved paths.

I’d love to experience the dazzling panoramas, volcanic-sand beaches, romantic sunset in Oia, ancient Greek tales in Akrotiri and visit a tavern or cafe at Imerovigli to enjoy Greek local wine.

Verona, Italy

Verona has been called the actual city of love and world’s most romantic destination. If you’ve seen movies like “Romeo and Juliet” or “Letters to Juliet”, you’ll certainly understand why Italy is a top choice for star-crossed lovers and romantics.

The perfect couple trip to Verona must include:

  • A visit to Juliet’s house, to see the famous balcony, said to be the place where Romeo first courts Juliet
  • Walks at the beautiful Ponte Pietra (Verona’s romantic stone bridge)
  • Wine tasting at Antica Bottega del Vino

Bali, Indonesia

Bali also known as “The land of the gods” is an exotic island in Indonesia. Above all, it’s got a touch of romance in everything, from accommodation to dining. It’s a perfect destination for your honeymoon. One thing I certainly would love to try in Bali is a floating breakfast or brunch.

Other fun activities to try:

  • Visit waterfalls where you can take a dip
  • Practice yoga and meditate at the Yoga Barn
  • Visit Ulun Danu Temple, a building dedicated to the goddess of the lake
  • Explore the paddy fields of Tabanan

Bora Bora

A vacation in Bora Bora can be the most beautiful and romantic getaways you’ll have yet. Located in French Polynesia northwest of Tahiti in the South Pacific, it’s got a turquoise coloured lagoon and dreamy overwater bungalows with thatched roofs just above the beautiful lagoon.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try some of these activities:

  • Snorkeling
  • Swimming with sharks
  • Scuba Diving
  • Hiking Bora Bora’s Valleys & Mountains

Paris, France

Paris is widely known as the city of love and the most romantic city in the world. In otherwords, it’s the perfect place to visit for a romantic getaway. There are so many things for you and your partner to do in Paris. Here are a few:

  • Take in the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower
  • Visit The Wall of Love (Le Mur Des Je t’aime)
  • Visit the Temple de l’Amour (Temple of Love)
  • Experience the finest Parisian dining
  • Take a sunset cruise along the Seine
  • Sample fine international wines at Lavinia

Cape Verde

This is one of Africa’s top romantic getaway destinations with nearly year-round sunshine, white sand beaches, ten beautiful islands, there’s so much you can do for fun. Sal and Boa Vista are the most popular vacation islands in Cape Verde because of their sandy beaches and wide choices of hotels. You can go island hopping, snorkelling and scuba diving In the waters.

Cape Verde has got some of the best flight booking deals I’ve seen. I think as a result, the number of travellers to this destination keep increasing.

In conclusion, a romantic getaway isn’t just about spending lots of money, it’s about spending time together away from day-to-day stress. That is to say, nothing about the trip should stress you. I recommend booking your flights with Travelstart for the best deals.
