WHYTESCAPE SERVICED APARTMENTS, ABUJA
I had a swell time at Whytescape serviced apartments over the weekend. Every year I try to do something different to celebrate my birthday. So this year, I decided to have a wellness weekend since my birthday fell on a Saturday.
After going through a number of apartments on the Airbnb website, I settled for Whytescape serviced apartments which came highly recommended by a friend. The idea was for me to just kickback and relax all weekend.
Location
1043 Abubakar Koko Avenue, Lifecamp, Abuja, Nigeria.
Ambience and Service
One thing that attracted me to this place was the minimal decor of the rooms. From the white walls, grey drapes, monochrome artworks, tall green plants, parquet floors to the simple but well finished furnitures, everything about it was perfect for a minimalist like myself.
I arrived at noon on my birthday and the check-in process was really easy because I had already reserved the room online. The receptionist was very responsive and friendly, she even offered to help me with my bags. The compound is quite big with a really spacious parking lot.
Their front desk service is for 24 hours so you can call at anytime if you need something. The place looked really secure and quiet. The doors to the room can only be opened with a combination given once payment has been made for your apartment of choice. They also have a breakfast option but I didn’t need it because I was surrounded by a lot of food.
The Apartment
I stayed in the Studio apartment. This is a one room apartment that comes with:
- A Kitchenette
- Bathroom
- Wifi
- Smart TV (perfect for streaming on Netflix and Youtube)
- Reading desk and chair
- Wardrobe plus mini ironing board
- Reading lamp
- Free access to the gym
The room was airy and clean which is very important to me because I can’t stand stuffy rooms. I felt so comfortable and even though my home looks nothing like that room, I can say it felt homely. If I had the funds, I would’ve definitely paid for another night because the bed was really comfortable.
I decided to take this wellness weekend as opposed to having a party because I needed the rest. There’s already enough pressure that comes with birthdays so I just needed to be in a place where I could have mindful reflections. Thankfully, this place was very quiet so I could get my rest in peace.
The price for the studio apartment was ₦19,345. It’s worth every kobo so I highly recommend. Overall, I rate my experience 9/10.

I really love your review and how transparent it is… I’m definitely gonna check it out and it will be as per your recommendation. This is so lovely, it’s everything I love in a space, and my mind is going haywire with the level of content I could create with a resource like this, just the thought of it has left me so excited, but I have to wait till this whole Covid19 drama is done with, sigh God help us all.
